Overview Of The Role:
The Store Manager is responsible for planning, controlling, and directing the store team to achieve the highest level of customer service standards and in-store execution to deliver sustainable sales and profits. The role involves utilizing excellent communication and people skills to influence team performance and understanding sales figures to drive business targets. The manager oversees financial dimensions such as P&L, store KPIs, including UPT, ATV, SOP, audit compliance, and shrinkage.


What You Will Do:

Profit Financial

  • Drive, monitor, and review sales performance, recommending action plans to meet the sales budget at the store level.
  • Conduct monthly meetings focused on category sales performance with the sales team to review and improve sales strategies.
  • Implement and ensure the 100% execution of all programs to achieve sales targets for exclusive products, while providing feedback on promotional effectiveness.
  • Manage and control the approved operational expenditure budgets, including utilities, wrap supply, and staff costs.
  • Develop and initiate plans to optimize store controllable expenses.
  • Achieve shrinkage targets below tolerance levels through continuous monitoring of Retail Operating Standard Compliance.

 

Commercial

  • Ensure the proper implementation of display strategies and timely replenishment of stock.
  • Manage stock availability to ensure consistent and timely inventory adjustments.
  • Comply consistently with the Brand of Service Standards to exceed customer expectations during interactions.
  • Handle product queries and complaints professionally in accordance with Brand of Service Standards.
  • Drive loyalty member programs to achieve targeted transaction participation.
  • Implement selling techniques to reach conversion/transaction rate targets.
  • Cascading ongoing promotions, activities, and memos using standard power talk guidelines regularly.
  • Check and ensure the correct implementation of promotional and store activities such as promo call-outs and price changes.

 

Process

  • Ensure communication and implementation of policies, brand standards, grooming guidelines, and internal control procedures as per SOP.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and system reporting capabilities.
  • Monitor controllable expenses, supervise loss prevention, asset protection, risk management, and oversee inventory management.
  • Liaise with mall management and manage store documentation processes such as daily reports and banking.
  • Perform cashiering duties and maintain retail standard operations, including planogram implementation.

 

People

  • Plan and monitor Personal Development Plans and in-role development interventions for team members.
  • Identify, implement, and oversee team learning interventions.
  • Review and discuss performance appraisals and personal plans with direct reports.
  • Implement action plans to improve employee engagement and build competencies.
  • Ensure completion and discussion of performance reviews with team members.



Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Good knowledge of the beauty industry and trends.
  • Retail operational proficiency, including stock management and system handling.
  • Strong management and people development skills.
  • Excellent customer service and results-oriented mindset.


What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in retail and team management within the beauty sector.
  • Proficiency in retail operational skills, including stock management, visual merchandising, systems, and cash handling.
  • Possessing management skills focused on people development, alongside empathy, customer service, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.
