Overview Of The Role:

  • The Senior Payroll Analyst is tasked with overseeing and managing payroll operations for Thailand. This involves ensuring that all payroll processes are accurate, compliant with statutory regulations, and executed in a timely manner. The role demands subject matter expertise in payroll processes and systems, facilitating collaboration with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless payroll execution. Key success factors include maintaining data integrity in the Tigersoft payroll system, identifying and implementing process improvements, and providing support and training related to payroll functionalities and practices.

What You Will Do:

Payroll Processing


  • Manage end-to-end monthly payroll operations using Tigersoft, including data entry, payroll calculations, validations, and adjustments, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments.
  • Process payroll-related transactions, including salary changes, overtime, bonuses, incentives, reimbursements, and other special payments.
  • Generate and distribute payroll reports, payslips, and statutory tax documentation.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records accurately and confidentially.
  • Work closely with HR on employee onboarding, offboarding, salary revisions, and employee master data changes to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and reconcile payroll data with Finance and accounting records.

Statutory Compliance


  • Ensure compliance with Thai labour laws, tax regulations, social security requirements, and other statutory obligations.
  • Prepare and submit statutory filings, including PND 1, PND 3, PND 53, PND 91, Social Security Fund contributions, Provident Fund requirements where applicable, Student Loan deductions, and other local payroll-related requirements.
  • Support year-end tax reporting and provide accurate documentation for employee income tax submissions.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes that may affect payroll processing and compliance.

Payroll System Management


  • Maintain and administer the Tigersoft payroll system, ensuring data integrity and system accuracy.
  • Identify system or process issues and coordinate with vendors or internal stakeholders to resolve them promptly.
  • Support system enhancements, testing, upgrades, and payroll process improvements.
  • Train team members and stakeholders on Tigersoft functionality and payroll best practices when required.

Audit, Reporting and Controls


  • Conduct regular payroll audits and validation checks to ensure payroll accuracy and statutory compliance.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and statutory payments.
  • Prepare payroll expense, headcount, and management reports for HR, Finance, and leadership teams.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing payroll records and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure proper retention and archiving of payroll records and compliance-related documentation.

Employee and Stakeholder Support


  • Respond to employee and HR queries related to payroll, taxation, social security, deductions, and salary payments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide guidance on payroll policies, statutory deductions, and payroll-related matters.
  • Partner with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations and issue resolution.

Continuous Improvement


  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and efficiency.
  • Participate in payroll transformation initiatives, automation projects, and process standardization activities.
  • Support implementation of best practices to enhance payroll service delivery and employee experience.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience in Thailand, with a proven track record of managing end-to-end monthly payroll cycles.
  • Strong knowledge of Thai payroll regulations, including Social Security Fund, income tax, Provident Fund, Student Loan deductions, and other payroll-related statutory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience using the Tigersoft payroll system is mandatory.
  • Experience working within a shared services or multinational environment is an advantage.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP; Power Query experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in Thai and English, both spoken and written.
  • Immediate availability is preferred.
