HealthHub Clinics, part of Al-Futtaim Health, is seeking an experienced Specialist Pediatric Ophthalmologist to join our growing multidisciplinary healthcare network in Dubai.

This is an exciting opportunity for a physician who is passionate about children's eye health and enjoys building long-term relationships with patients and families while delivering specialist care within a modern outpatient environment.

We are seeking a clinician with strong experience in diagnosing and managing pediatric eye conditions, squint disorders, amblyopia, refractive conditions, and pediatric visual development.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a thriving pediatric ophthalmology practice within a trusted healthcare brand supported by an established patient population and multidisciplinary referral network.

Recent ophthalmology candidate profiles reviewed internally demonstrate experience areas highly relevant to this role, including pediatric ophthalmology, squint evaluation, amblyopia management, orthoptic assessment, and pediatric vision services.

About the Role

As a Specialist Pediatric Ophthalmologist, you will provide specialist clinical care for infants, children, and adolescents while supporting early diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of pediatric eye conditions.

You will work closely with families, paediatricians, optometrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal visual development and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive pediatric ophthalmology consultations.
Diagnose and manage pediatric eye disorders.
Assess and manage strabismus (squint) disorders.
Diagnose and treat amblyopia.
Perform pediatric vision assessments.
Manage refractive errors and visual development concerns.
Provide ongoing follow-up and treatment planning.
Collaborate with paediatricians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Educate parents and caregivers regarding treatment plans and visual development.
Maintain accurate DHA-compliant clinical documentation.
Participate in quality improvement and continuing medical education activities.

Essential Requirements

DHA, DOH (HAAD), or MOH Licensed Specialist Pediatric Ophthalmologist.
Recognised specialist qualification in Ophthalmology.
Fellowship or subspecialty training in Pediatric Ophthalmology preferred.
Previous UAE experience highly desirable.
Strong outpatient pediatric ophthalmology experience.
Experience managing:
Pediatric eye disorders
Strabismus
Amblyopia
Pediatric refractive conditions
Visual development disorders
Excellent communication skills with children and families.
Fluent English language skills.
Arabic language skills advantageous.

Preferred Experience

Pediatric ophthalmology clinics.
Children's hospitals.
Pediatric vision screening programmes.
Orthoptic services.
Squint assessment and management.
Multidisciplinary pediatric healthcare environments.
