Overview Of The Role:

  • The Operations Responsible is tasked with overseeing all aspects of store operations, emphasizing back-of-house management including delivery processes, standards, and replenishment practices. The role involves planning and organizing the stockroom while maintaining RFID devices in cooperation with the Commercial team. Key responsibilities include executing stockroom initiatives to manage capacity issues, managing delivery productivity, and supporting store security to minimize losses. The role also focuses on employee training and development, compliance with company SOPs, and ensuring health and safety standards are met. Strong communication with various teams is vital to drive operational efficiency and address maintenance issues.

What You Will Do:

General


  • Take full responsibility for all aspects of store operations, focusing on management of the back of house including delivery processes and productive standards.
  • Organize and maintain the stockroom according to standards, optimizing layout and efficiency.
  • Oversee RFID devices and practices, ensuring proper use and collaboration with the Commercial team.
  • Plan and implement stockroom initiatives to address and resolve capacity issues.
  • Manage delivery productivity to align with company targets, overseeing the complete delivery process and responding to unexpected circumstances as necessary.
  • Support the management team in implementing security measures to minimize stock loss and develop action plans as needed.
  • Organize ZARA Online storage within the store, ensuring proper management and efficiency.
  • Develop team schedules to ensure maximum coverage across all store sections.

Communication & Coordination


  • Actively communicate with the General Services team to report and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Engage in regular and effective communication with DM operations.
  • Participate in employee performance reviews and work on development plans.

Training & Development


  • Identify potential operational talents within stores and communicate these with store managers and HR.
  • Create and implement training plans to improve operational skills according to the Career Development Plan (CDP).

Standards & Compliance


  • Ensure the store is resourced according to legal compliance standards, with all staff fully trained and knowledgeable.
  • Keep employees updated on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and compliance issues.
  • Conduct store self-assessment audits and devise action plans with the management team to ensure compliance with internal audit reports.

Health & Safety


  • Maintain good housekeeping throughout the store, addressing risks to employees and customers and promoting safe work practices.


Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Retail operations management experience.
  • Training and development capability.
  • Leadership and motivational skills.
  • Knowledge of compliance and health & safety standards.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • At least 3 years of experience in retail operations.
  • Proficiency in managing the full training cycle, including conducting in-person training activities.
  • Motivational skills to lead employees towards achieving sales quotas.
  • Solid leadership and team management capabilities.
