Overview of the Role

Join BYD and Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility as an EV Service Technician and be part of the future of automotive technology. In this role, you will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on cutting-edge electric vehicles while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

What You Will Do

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work on BYD electric vehicles
• Diagnose and troubleshoot EV systems, including high-voltage components and battery systems
• Carry out repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines and EV safety standards
• Complete repairs right the first time, minimizing vehicle downtime
• Perform vehicle inspections and support Electronic Vehicle Check (EVC) reporting
• Follow all high-voltage safety procedures, workshop processes, and 5S standards
• Ensure efficient use of parts, tools, and workshop resources
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to deliver exceptional customer service
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EV technology and the latest automotive innovations’

Required Skills to Be Successful

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in vehicle maintenance and repair
• Knowledge of electrical, electronic, and automotive systems
• Understanding of EV technology, battery systems, and charging systems is preferred
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret technical manuals
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Good communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Passion for new technologies and electric mobility

About the Team

You will be part of the BYD Aftersales Retail Team within Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility, supporting one of the world's fastest-growing EV brands. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences, operational excellence, and technical expertise while driving the future of sustainable transportation across the UAE.

What Equips You for the Role

• Diploma, ITI, NCVT, ITC, or equivalent technical qualification
• 2–3 years of experience as an Automotive Technician, Diagnostic Technician, Service Technician, General Repair Technician, or EV Technician
• Hands-on experience in vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair
• Experience working on Electric Vehicles (EVs) or Hybrid Vehicles is highly preferred
• EV or High-Voltage (HV) certification is an advantage
• Experience using manufacturer diagnostic tools and repair manuals
• Good understanding of electrical, electronic, and high-voltage vehicle systems
• Valid UAE driving license is an advantage
