Overview of the role

The Senior Financial Analyst will support the Senior Finance Manager in managing corporate finance, treasury operations, and funding requirements of the Financial Services Division, comprising currently ten entities. The role requires strong financial analysis capability, stakeholder coordination experience, and the ability to manage multiple entities within a structured governance framework.

 

What you will do

  • Deliver robust, decision-ready financial models and consolidated projections (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Medium-Term Funding Plan) to support strategic planning funding execution and applicable funding costs.
  • Ensure accurate and aligned Direct Cash Flow (DCF) forecasts in line with the approved annual budget and quarterly forecasts, strengthening funding visibility and predictability.
  • Provide actionable monthly performance analysis of Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and funding costs vs budget/forecasts with clear recommendations to optimize cost of funds, funding mix, and balance sheet efficiency.
  • Proactively evaluate and support in optimization of capital and funding structures across all FS entities to enhance returns, reduce funding costs, and improve leverage efficiency.
  • Assess the funding impact of capital expenditure, investment decisions, and portfolio changes, providing forward-looking insights to management.
  • Support the successful execution of short-term and long-term funding transactions aligned to forecasted cash flow requirements through seamless coordination with the Global Treasury Centre (GTC).
  • Monitor and deliver forward-looking insights on capital adequacy, liquidity positioning, and funding capacity, enabling informed strategic and risk-based decision-making.
  • Prepare and review bi-weekly cash flow forecasts for Financial Services entities through the Group Anaplan system, ensuring full stakeholder alignment and forecast reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with approved annual debt limits and facility covenants, proactively identifying and mitigating potential breaches.
  • Drive liquidity optimization initiatives in partnership with business teams to enhance cash efficiency, exceed budget targets, and strengthen working capital performance.
  • Maintain real-time visibility of daily cash positions and surplus balances, ensuring seamless funding of operational requirements and scheduled debt servicing obligations.
  • Optimize liquidity of divisional entities through efficient intercompany funding structures and cash reallocation strategies.
  • Ensure smooth execution of treasury operations by coordinating proactively with GTC and Treasury Back-Office teams on bank account management, facility limits, and documentation.
  • Design and enhance automated dashboards to enable real-time monitoring of facility utilization, covenants, and funding cost drivers across all FS entities.
  • Assist in implementing asset and liability strategies (including gap management) to optimize returns across the relevant entities, in line with ALCO guidelines and recommendations.
  • Prepare ongoing assessments of asset–liability mismatches for quarterly ALCO reporting.
  • Support management in monitoring capital, liquidity, interest rate, and other balance sheet risks through regular reporting against risk appetite and forward-looking scenario analysis and stress testing.
  • Assist in determining funding strategies, interest rate risk tolerance, and overall balance sheet optimization objectives across the Financial Services entities.
  • Understand and manage appropriate accounting procedures and processes related to debt and equity funding.
  • Support preparation of relevant fiscal records and financial plans, policies, and reports at the divisional level.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies for all FS entities including applicable regulatory guidelines by governing bodies.
  • Prepare all relevant internal approvals related to funding and treasury activities.
  • Develop SLAs to govern treasury activities and key touch points with the Business Units.
  • Assist in development of ALCO policies, protocols and other applicable guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with DOA through review of documentation (including banking mandates, dealing mandates, account opening and closing).
  • Perform KYC duties and update relevant documents with the banks through TBOT (for example trade license, passport copies, sanctions undertakings/questionnaires, FATCA, etc.) in consultation with respective BUF teams and other stakeholders including Legal and Tax where required.

 

 Required Skills to be successful

  • Understanding of financial markets, forex and treasury accounting including FX, liquidity, cashflow and various financial instruments.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Understanding of debt structuring and banking processes.
  • Key understanding of balance sheet risks and mitigation strategies
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

 

What equips you for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • Professional qualification (MBA / ACCA / CA / CIMA / CFA – part or fully qualified preferred)
  • 6-8 years’ experience in corporate finance, treasury, banking or financial services.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Bi knowledge.
  • Knowledge of SAP BPC and Anaplan.
