Shape the Next Generation of Healthcare Facilities
Al-Futtaim Health is seeking an experienced Senior Development Manager in Dubai Festival City.
This is a senior and highly influential opportunity for a healthcare development professional who understands how to take hospitals, clinics, and specialist healthcare facilities from initial strategy and feasibility through design, procurement, delivery, and operational readiness.
Working closely with the Managing Director and senior stakeholders, you will help shape healthcare development plans, manage complex project lifecycles, and ensure that new and expanded facilities are commercially viable, clinically appropriate, compliant, and delivered to the required quality standards.
Important Candidate Requirement
This is not a general commercial real-estate or construction role.
Candidates must have substantial experience delivering development projects within the healthcare sector, together with a strong understanding of hospitals, clinics, healthcare markets, medical equipment, biomedical technology, and the operational needs of clinical facilities.
Why This Role Matters
Healthcare development requires more than the management of construction activity. Successful facilities must connect clinical strategy, patient flow, medical technology, regulatory compliance, financial performance, operational readiness, and quality.
In this role, you will bring these elements together, working across multiple internal and external teams to help deliver healthcare environments that support excellent patient care and sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Healthcare Development Strategy
Develop strategic plans for healthcare real-estate and facility-development projects.
Ensure development plans align with the wider Al-Futtaim Health strategy.
Translate healthcare requirements into comprehensive project plans, milestones, resource requirements, and delivery priorities.
Support the planning of new hospitals, clinics, medical centres, and healthcare-service expansions.
Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and operational requirements.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for healthcare-development projects.
Monitor project progress, expenditure, risks, dependencies, and commercial viability.
Prepare regular status reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior leadership.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Work closely with Finance, Design, Commercial and Procurement, Project Delivery, Asset Management, Marketing, and healthcare operations.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, engineers, researchers, government departments, manufacturers, and other stakeholders.
Build productive working relationships that support effective decisions and successful project outcomes.
Provide clear direction and maintain accountability across multidisciplinary project teams.
The role operates across the full project lifecycle and works closely with Finance, Design, Commercial and Procurement, Project Delivery, Asset Management, and Marketing.
Risk, Quality, and Regulatory Compliance
Identify project risks and implement practical mitigation strategies.
Ensure projects comply with relevant healthcare, construction, regulatory, and quality requirements.
Monitor design and delivery decisions to ensure they support safe, functional, and efficient healthcare operations.
Escalate material project risks, constraints, and commercial issues to senior leadership.
Medical and Biomedical Technology
Advise management on clinic and hospital medical equipment, biomedical equipment, and emerging healthcare technologies.
Support equipment planning, selection, technical assessment, and procurement.
Negotiate with medical and biomedical equipment suppliers.
Liaise with engineers, researchers, technicians, and manufacturers regarding design feasibility, functionality, and economic viability.
Help ensure that equipment decisions are aligned with clinical requirements and development plans.
