• The Sales Associate cum Cashier supports store objectives by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining store sections, and handling transactions. The role involves ensuring effective maintenance of designated sections, assisting with sales processing, and maintaining compliance with standards. Successful performance is measured by customer service quality, store sales targets, and adherence to compliance and health and safety standards.

Store Maintenance

• Maintain responsibility for one or several sections of the store, keeping a basic image of the area through proper folding and displaying.
• Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained on the shop floor.
• Organize and arrange the stockroom efficiently to maintain excellent standards.

Sales Processing

• Process sales, exchanges and refunds efficiently, accurately, and quickly using all payment methods.
• Ensure complete efficiency when following opening and closing cash desk procedures.
• Cover key responsibilities of the Head Cashier and Deputy Cashier in their absence.

Customer Service

• Ensure that customers are acknowledged and receive quality service either face to face or over the telephone.
• Continually develop stock knowledge and be aware of promotions throughout the store.
• Provide excellent customer services to achieve store sales targets and provide a great customer experience.

Compliance

• Ensure the store is adequately resourced and compliant with legal requirements and standards.
• Conduct store self-assessment audits and reviews, and devise action plans with the wider management team.
• Ensure employees are knowledgeable and updated on SOPs.

Health and Safety

• Maintain good housekeeping throughout all areas in the store.
• Be aware of risks employees and customers are exposed to and follow safe work practices to overcome them.
• Communicate with the senior management team in case of any accidents.

Training and Development

• Attend all relevant trainings pertaining to customer service and product knowledge.
• Engage in relevant training and development as set by your line manager.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
• Energetic and enthusiastic with a strong initiative and self-motivation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules and environments.

• Previous experience in fashion retail or customer service is preferred.
• Desire for fashion and strong passion for customer engagement.
• Strong numerate and literacy skills, with cash handling experience being desirable.
• Flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
