• The Sales Associate Cum Cashier supports the store's objectives by delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining key sections of the store, and contributing to a high standard of store upkeep. The role requires efficient management of sales transactions, strong customer service abilities, and adherence to compliance standards. Success in this position involves meeting store sales targets, providing a memorable shopping experience, and ensuring a well-organized retail environment.

Sales and Customer Service

• Maintain responsibility for one or several sections of the store as instructed, ensuring a tidy and visually appealing display.
• Process sales, exchanges, and refunds efficiently across all payment methods.
• Ensure customers are acknowledged and receive quality service both face-to-face and over the telephone.
• Continually develop stock knowledge and promotions through active participation.
• Ensure complete efficiency when following opening and closing cash desk procedures.

Stock Management

• Maintain excellent standards in the stockroom by organizing and arranging the stock efficiently.
• Cover key responsibilities of the Head Cashier and Deputy Cashier in their absence.

Compliance and Safety

• Ensure that the store is adequately resourced across all areas affected by legal compliance, maintaining knowledge and communication of compliance issues.
• Implement store self-assessment audits, review internal audit reports, and work with management to create action plans.
• Ensure good housekeeping is maintained and address any health and safety concerns to senior management.
• Be aware of risks to employees and customers, ensuring safe work practices are followed.

Training and Development

• Attend all relevant trainings pertaining to customer service and product knowledge.
• Follow and engage in training and development as set by your line manager.

• Excellent customer service skills with ability to manage inquiries effectively.
• Strong organizational skills for stock room management and cashier duties.
• Numeracy skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
• Knowledge and adherence to safety and compliance protocols in a retail environment.

• Previous fashion retail experience and/or exceptional customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with cash handling and possessing strong numeracy and literacy skills.
• Passion for fashion and strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
