• The Sales Associate cum Cashier is responsible for delivering excellent customer service in alignment with store needs and objectives. This role supports designated sections of the store, ensuring effective maintenance and an exemplary shopping experience for customers. Key success factors include the ability to maintain sections with high visual standards, efficiently process transactions, and assist in compliance and health and safety protocols. The Sales Associate cum Cashier collaborates closely with the store team to maximize sales opportunities and enhance customer satisfaction.

General

• Maintain responsibility for one or several sections of the store as instructed by your Manager keeping a basic image of the area through proper folding and displaying.
• Process sales, exchanges and refunds efficiently, accurately, and quickly in all payment methods.
• Ensure that good housekeeping standards are maintained on the shop floor and ensure that the Cash desk areas are replenished and kept tidy throughout the day.
• Acknowledge customers and ensure they receive quality services either face to face or over the telephone.
• Maintain excellent standards in the stockroom by organizing and arranging the stockroom efficiently.
• Develop stock knowledge and keep up with promotions throughout the store.
• Cover key responsibilities of the Head Cashier and Deputy Cashier in their absence.
• Follow and engage in relevant training and development as set by your line manager.
• Ensure complete efficiency when following opening and closing cash desk procedures.
• Attend all relevant trainings pertaining to customer service and product knowledge.
• Ensure the store is adequately resourced and that compliance is maintained with a thorough knowledge of all compliance issues.
• Implement store self-assessment audits/reviews internal audit reports and devise action plans with the wider management team.
• Maintain good housekeeping throughout all areas in the store and communicate with senior management in case of accidents.
• Be aware of the risks employees and customers are exposed to, and follow safe work practices and procedures.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Strong organizational and stock management skills.
• Knowledge of compliance and safety practices in a retail environment.

• Previous fashion retail experience and/or excellent customer service experience preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience desirable.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
• Passion for fashion, energetic and enthusiastic.
• Articulate with good communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Strong initiative and self-motivation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
