• The Sales Associate cum Cashier is responsible for supporting the store's objectives by delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining designated sections of the store. This includes processing transactions efficiently, managing stock and display standards, and ensuring compliance with store policies. Success in this role requires an enthusiastic and customer-focused approach, attention to detail in transaction handling and store presentation, and teamwork in achieving sales targets.

General

• Maintain responsibility for designated sections of the store, ensuring neatness by folding and displaying products appropriately.
• Process sales, exchanges, and refunds efficiently and accurately using various payment methods.
• Ensure good housekeeping standards on the shop floor and keep cash desk areas tidy and replenished throughout the day.
• Acknowledge and provide quality service to customers both face-to-face and over the telephone.
• Organize and arrange stockroom efficiently to maintain excellent standards.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of stocks and promotions throughout the store.
• Cover responsibilities of the Head Cashier and Deputy Cashier in their absence.
• Follow and engage in training and development plans as set by your line manager.
• Ensure efficiency in opening and closing cash desk procedures.

Training & Development

• Attend relevant training sessions related to customer services and product knowledge.

Standards - Compliance

• Ensure the store meets legal compliance requirements and maintain thorough knowledge of compliance issues.
• Keep employees informed and trained on current SOPs.
• Implement self-assessment audits and action plans from internal audit reports with management team involvement.

Health and Safety

• Maintain good housekeeping across all areas of the store and report accidents to senior management.
• Be aware of employee and customer risk exposures, adhering to safe work practices and company procedures.

• Excellent customer service skills with a strong focus on delivering a great customer experience.
• Ability to efficiently process various payment methods, including cash and card transactions.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and work schedules.

• Previous experience in fashion retail or customer service is preferred.
• Experience in cash handling is desirable.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
• Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for fashion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
