• The Sales Associate Cum Cashier role is pivotal in maintaining customer service excellence and supporting store objectives. The role involves responsibilities on the sales floor, cashier duties, stock management, compliance adherence, and maintaining health and safety standards. This position requires flexibility, teamwork, and initiative to ensure a smooth operation of store activities while achieving sales targets and enhancing the overall customer experience.

Sales Floor Management

• Maintain responsibility for one or several sections of the store as instructed by your Manager, ensuring neat folding and displaying of products.
• Ensure effective housekeeping standards on the shop floor, keeping Cash desk areas replenished and tidy.
• Process sales, exchanges, and refunds efficiently, accurately, and quickly using all payment methods.
• Acknowledge customers promptly and provide quality service either face-to-face or over the phone.

Stock Management and Knowledge

• Maintain excellent standards in the stockroom by organizing and arranging stock efficiently.
• Continually develop stock knowledge and stay updated on promotions throughout the store.
• Cover key responsibilities of the Head Cashier and Deputy Cashier in their absence.

Compliance and Safety

• Ensure legal compliance and adequate store resource allocation.
• Implement self-assessment audits and reviews with the management team, addressing issues with action plans.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards throughout the store and communicate with senior management in case of accidents.
• Be aware of risks faced by employees and customers, practicing safe work methods.

Training and Development

• Attend relevant trainings related to customer service and product knowledge.
• Follow training and development instructions set by your line manager.
• Ensure full efficiency in opening and closing cash desk procedures.

• Ability to process transactions efficiently and accurately in all payment forms.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain stockroom and sales floor standards.
• Proficient understanding of SOPs and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide superior customer service.

• Previous fashion retail experience or extensive customer service work preferred.
• Experience with cash handling is desirable, demonstrating strong numeracy and literacy skills.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm and a passion for fashion.
• Possesses articulate communication skills, good interpersonal abilities, strong initiative, and self-motivation.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to accommodate varied working hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
