Overview Of The Role:

  • The role is essential in supporting store objectives by delivering excellent customer service, ensuring effective maintenance of designated store sections, and aiding in the achievement of sales targets. As a part-time team member, you will be responsible for various sections of the store, maintaining high standards in both the shop floor and stockroom. Your ability to engage with customers and contribute to housekeeping will be crucial for the store's success. This position operates within a fast-paced retail environment, requiring flexibility and a passion for fashion.

What You Will Do:

General


  • Maintain responsibility for one or several sections of the store, ensuring a basic image of the area through folding and displaying.
  • Process sales, exchanges, and refunds efficiently, accurately, and quickly across all payment methods.
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained on the shop floor, and keep the Cash desk areas replenished and tidy throughout the day.
  • Acknowledge customers and provide quality service either in-person or over the telephone.
  • Maintain excellent standards in the stockroom by organizing and arranging it efficiently.
  • Continually develop knowledge of stocks and promotions throughout the store.

Standards Compliance


  • Ensure employees are knowledgeable and updated on SOPs.
  • Implement store self-assessment audits, review internal audit reports, and devise action plans with management to ensure action delivery.

Health and Safety


  • Ensure good housekeeping is maintained throughout all store areas and communicate with senior management in the event of an accident.
  • Be aware of risks to employees and customers, employing safe work practices and company procedures to mitigate them.

Sales


  • Contribute to achieving store sales targets by delivering excellent customer service and enhancing the customer experience.


Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Excellent customer service skills with an ability to engage customers positively.
  • Efficient at processing transactions with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational skills for maintaining stockroom and sales floor standards.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new information quickly, particularly regarding product knowledge.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Previous experience in fashion retail or excellence in customer service is preferred.
  • Passion for fashion and ability to articulate this enthusiasm.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
