Overview Of The Role:
- The Deputy Manager will deliver operational excellence, support sales targets, and uphold brand compliance in store settings across Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. This role requires leading team efforts to embody brand values while ensuring exceptional customer service and sales performance. Additionally, managing stock, service standards, legal compliance, health and safety, and profitability are key success factors for this position.
- Close collaboration with Store Manager, HRBP, and Operations is necessary to meet sales targets, handle customer inquiries, and maximize store efficiency. Critical impacts include inventory management, budget adherence, and fostering employee motivation.
What You Will Do:
Sales
- Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service and ensure standards are followed.
- Review and analyze sales figures to identify opportunities to enhance performance.
- Motivate the team to improve sales performance using relevant retail metrics.
- Collaborate with team members to support local opportunities for sales growth.
- Understand customer needs and challenge the team to increase conversion rates and sales.
- Plan and schedule store coverage based on sales trends.
Commercial & Visual
- Implement store standards and plan impactful commercial events.
- Ensure product presentation aligns with brand guidelines.
- Highlight merchandise through VM elements to increase customer awareness.
- Benchmark standards with peer stores and strive for an aspirational shopping environment.
Stock Management
- Follow SOPs related to stock management, including shipments and returns.
- Ensure proper OPS team coverage for replenishing best sellers.
- Review top and bottom selling lines to optimize stock options.
- Identify stock management risks and initiate corrective actions.
Service
- Model excellent service behavior and generate excitement for service.
- Respond to customer complaints with a focus on satisfaction.
- Ensure effective replenishment and compliance with standards.
- Seek customer feedback and use it to improve service standards.
- Drive daily service standards through internal assessments.
- Ensure all employees complete required service training.
Standards
- Ensure store compliance with legal requirements and SOPs.
- Conduct self-assessment audits and devise action plans for improvement.
- Maintain a safe store environment through weekly health and safety reviews.
- Report and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
- Review cleaning contractors to ensure compliance with brand standards.
Loss & Prevention
- Ensure adherence to cash management procedures by all employees.
- Uphold integrity and adherence to cash and security procedures.
- Conduct routine security checks and deploy staff strategically.
- Monitor for potential theft and take preventative measures.
People
- Implement HR policies for managing absence, leave, and disciplinary issues.
- Engage employees to promote communication and involvement.
- Collaborate on staff training and performance reviews.
Costs Control
- Use FTE efficiently to maintain profitability ratio.
- Challenge teams to achieve shrinkage targets by managing stock and processes.
- Develop a robust cost improvement plan for the store.

- Graduate degree required.
- 8+ years of relevant retail experience.
- Strong motivation and ability to work towards targets and KPIs.

- Proven ability in critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Organizational, management, and sales skills.
