Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled School Management System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, training, support, and vendor coordination of the iSAMS School Management System. This role includes report generation, scripting for customization, and integration with third-party applications.
A strong understanding of iSAMS and a proven track record in managing student attainment data are essential. Experience working across both Primary and Secondary educational settings is highly desirable. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- System Administration: Manage and support email groups, Teams, rooms, and shared mailboxes.
- Training: Deliver training sessions for staff, parents, and students on system usage and procedures.
- Technical Support: Provide support for login issues, portal access, and general system troubleshooting.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with vendors for third-party application integration and technical support.
- Reporting:
- Generate reports using iSAMS, Power BI, and occasionally SSRS.
- Create one-time usage reports for staff and administration.
- Scripting & Automation: Develop scripts to automate processes and extract data as needed.
- Database Management: Maintain and develop the iSAMS database and other related systems.
- System Integration: Configure and troubleshoot integrations with educational and administrative systems (e.g., printers, staff cards, access control, AD, ClassLink, Zenda, etc.).
- Documentation: Create and maintain user-friendly documentation for staff and parents.
- Helpdesk Support: Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets in a timely manner.
- Microsoft Applications: Troubleshoot Microsoft apps and coordinate with Microsoft support for critical issues.
- API Integration: Implement and test APIs for data communication and collection.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience with the iSAMS School Management System is essential.
- Proficient in Excel, Power BI, and SQL for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong understanding of British curriculum assessment and inspection data requirements.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
- Strong technical support and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in scripting and database maintenance.
- Effective communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to collaborate with vendors and manage third-party integrations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
