Overview Of The Role:

  • The Senior Procurement Manager leads strategic aspects within key Indirect Categories such as IT, Logistics, Marketing, and Human Capital across divisions on a global level. The purpose of the role is to develop and maintain organizational structures and necessary alignments to ensure an effective procurement process while providing high-value external solutions to support business projects in Saudi Arabia. This position acts as the primary procurement business partner for Business Units in KSA, ensuring alignment with budgets, strategy, productivity, and margin expansion initiatives. Success in this role involves designing and delivering comprehensive procurement strategies, fostering relationships with stakeholders, and maintaining operational compliance and governance.

What You Will Do:

Business Engagement & Demand Forecasting


  • Develop a deep understanding of business unit strategies, operational plans, and upcoming requirements across all KSA divisions.
  • Lead structured demand planning and forecasting cycles to ensure accurate visibility of procurement needs.
  • Maintain a rolling procurement pipeline for KSA, updated monthly and shared with regional category and sourcing teams.
  • Facilitate early engagement between stakeholders and procurement to ensure timely planning and alignment with category strategies.

Compliance, Governance & Policy Adherence


  • Ensure all procurement activities within KSA adhere to corporate policies, procedures, and delegated authority frameworks.
  • Monitor compliance levels across business units and implement corrective actions where gaps are identified.
  • Conduct periodic training and awareness sessions for local stakeholders on procurement processes, systems, and compliance expectations.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements by providing documentation, clarifications, and process insights.

Coordination with Regional Category & Sourcing Teams


  • Act as the primary interface between KSA stakeholders and category/sourcing teams based in UAE and Egypt.
  • Translate business needs into clear category briefs and sourcing requests to enable efficient remote support.
  • Track progress of sourcing activities and ensure timely delivery of outcomes (RFPs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, contracts).
  • Escalate bottlenecks or misalignments and drive resolution to maintain service levels.

Procurement Planning & Execution Support


  • Support the execution of sourcing events, supplier onboarding, and contract finalization in coordination with regional teams.
  • Ensure procurement requests (PRs) are complete, accurate, and aligned with approved budgets and category strategies.
  • Monitor contract lifecycle milestones and support renewals, amendments, and performance reviews.

Stakeholder Relationship Management


  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with business leaders, project managers, finance, and operations teams across KSA.
  • Provide proactive guidance on procurement timelines, market insights, and sourcing options.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to stakeholders, helping them optimize cost, quality, and risk outcomes.

Supplier Performance & Issue Resolution


  • Support supplier performance monitoring by gathering feedback from KSA stakeholders and sharing insights with category managers.
  • Coordinate resolution of supplier issues, disputes, or service failures in collaboration with regional teams.
  • Contribute to supplier review meetings and ensure local performance data is captured and acted upon.

Reporting, Analytics & Continuous Improvement


  • Deliver regular reporting on procurement pipeline, compliance metrics, sourcing progress, and savings achievements for KSA.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline local procurement processes and enhance stakeholder experience.
  • Contribute to regional procurement improvement initiatives and support implementation within KSA.

Local Market & Regulatory Awareness


  • Maintain awareness of KSA-specific regulatory requirements, local content rules, and market dynamics.
  • Ensure procurement activities reflect local legal and compliance obligations.
  • Provide insights to category teams to help shape regional strategies with KSA-specific considerations.


Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to execute projects successfully and deliver external solutions timely, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
  • Understanding of Procurement KPIs related to market insights, price and demand development, and performance metrics.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • University/Advanced degree needed.
  • Master's Degree or other advanced degree preferred.
  • CIPS (or equivalent) qualification.
  • 10+ years of relevant business experience, preferably in Procurement, Automotive, Retail, or Real Estate industries.
  • Experience in Procurement, category management, supplier management, or related areas with a focus on Indirect Categories.
