About the Role


As an Operating Theatre Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality perioperative care before, during, and after surgical procedures.


You will support theatre operations as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team while ensuring patient safety, infection prevention, and clinical excellence remain at the centre of everything you do.


Candidates with both Scrub Nurse and Circulating Nurse experience are highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities


Perioperative Care
Deliver safe and effective perioperative nursing care.
Prepare operating theatres, instruments, equipment, and consumables.
Support surgeons and anaesthetists during surgical procedures.
Conduct patient assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
Monitor patients throughout the perioperative journey.


Surgical Support


Scrub and circulate during procedures.
Anticipate surgical team requirements.
Ensure surgical safety checklist compliance.
Maintain sterile fields and infection prevention standards.


Clinical Quality


Adhere to DHA standards, infection control policies, and patient safety protocols.
Participate in audits, quality improvement activities, and continuing education programmes.
Support theatre stock management and equipment maintenance.


Essential Requirements


DHA Licensed Registered Nurse.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent recognised qualification.
Current BLS Certification.
ACLS certification preferred.
Minimum 5 years' Operating Theatre experience.
Scrub or circulating theatre experience.
Experience within an acute care hospital, surgical centre, or day surgery environment.
Strong understanding of perioperative nursing and infection prevention.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience using EMR systems and clinical documentation platforms.


Highly Preferred


Experience supporting multiple surgical specialties.
Day Surgery Centre experience.
UAE healthcare experience.
Scrub and circulating experience.
