Overview of the role

The Recoveries Executive – Pre-Legal to manage early-stage recovery activities and support legal processes. The role focuses on resolving delinquent lease and loan accounts through mediation, structured settlements, and effective customer engagement while ensuring regulatory and procedural compliance.

 

What you will do


•    Manage pre-legal recoveries for lease and loan accounts by referring cases to the Mediation Board to avoid legal escalation
•    Ensure continuous follow-ups and visits to Mediation Boards to drive timely settlements
•    Negotiate with customers on settlements and repayment plans
•    Develop and monitor settlement plans to ensure timely recoveries
•    Maintain proper documentation for demand letters, terminations, and repossessions
•    Ensure secure custody and tracking of pre-legal and legal files
•    Transfer non-recoverable accounts to legal in line with SOPs
•    Represent the Company at Mediation Boards, Courts, Arbitration Centers, and Financial Ombudsman inquiries
•    Coordinate with internal teams and legal stakeholders for case progress
•    Track and report recovery performance, including cases settled through mediation
•    Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements


What equips you for the role


•    GCE Advanced Level (A/L) qualification.
•    Four years of working experience in recovery field. 
•    Strong communication skills in English and Sinhala and a proactive attitude.
•    Proficient in MS Office Package (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint).
•    Valid driving license.
