Overview Of The Role:
The Retail Sales Representative Showroom is responsible for establishing rapport and credibility with customers to assist them in purchasing the company's product range while maintaining high merchandising standards and ensuring stock availability. The role involves promoting sales, suggesting improvements, monitoring the market, and representing the IKEA brand effectively. Success in this role is measured by the achievement of sales targets, maintaining competitive advantage, and delivering outstanding customer service.
What You Will Do:
- Promote the sales of products by spotting and seizing sales opportunities, offering alternative solutions to problems, and suggesting add-on sales to achieve sales targets.
- Suggest improvements for sales to the supervisor and identify slow-moving or non-selling items to propose sales actions.
- Maintain a full display of products through effective merchandising methods as per company standards.
- Be an expert on the product range within Home Furnishing Business (HFB).
- Stay informed about local market trends by being attentive to customer information, remaining alert to advertising and promotions, and conducting market visits to maintain competitive advantage.
- Stay updated on changes in the product range, inform the Sales Manager of customer feedback, and identify any gaps in the range.\
- Conduct daily detailed inspections of the assigned area to review the availability and positioning of price labels, product information tags, and other communication media.
- Review daily stock levels on all products in the assigned area and recommend orders to the Shopkeeper.
- Coordinate with Procurement Executive for information related to stocks in the assigned area.
- Be understanding and sensitive to diverse customer needs, initiating and developing effective ways of building relationships with customers to establish trust and confidence.
- Determine customer requirements to prepare a pro forma invoice.
- Maintain contact with customers, provide updates on new or recently received items of interest, and follow up on quotations to convert them to actual sales.

What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Secondary education is required as a minimum qualification.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role is essential.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is necessary.
- Experience with customer-focused roles and a strong drive for sales.
