Overview Of The Role:
- The Filler role is essential for maintaining the seamless movement of goods from the stockroom to the sales floor. The position requires diligence in ensuring that shelves are consistently stocked, allowing customers to experience a store that feels new with every visit. Success in this role is measured by maintaining operational standards and compliance with company procedures while representing the IKEA brand accurately.
What You Will Do:
Operational
- Unpack boxes and inspect items for damage, label acceptable items with barcodes, and store them in the stockroom.
- Send merchandise to the correct departments and track items using hand-held scanners and computers.
- Ensure all goods inflow are carried out as per company policy, systems, and procedures.
- Collect customer returns from the refund counter and return them to the warehouse.
- Handle goods that are not of sound quality as per company systems and procedures.
- Correctly handle and stock items to maintain them in good condition.
- Maintain merchandising standards as required by senior floor walk feedback and DM feedback.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Ability to lift and handle heavy items.
- Strong accountability and reliability in task completion.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Effective teamwork and personal leadership skills.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in logistics or similar field.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematics tasks.
- Must be physically able to lift heavy weights and bend for long periods.
