Overview Of The Role:
The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of an automotive workshop focused on Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge vehicles. This includes ensuring efficient vehicle repairs, maintaining high service quality, and achieving customer satisfaction. The role involves leading a team of technicians, allocating jobs effectively, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with both company and manufacturer standards. Success involves optimizing productivity, reducing costs, and adhering to safety protocols while ensuring vehicles are repaired correctly and delivered on time. The Workshop Supervisor plays a critical role in upholding the reputation and service standards of the automotive brands represented.

What You Will Do:

• Supervise daily workshop activities and ensure smooth workflow from vehicle reception through repair, quality inspection, and delivery.
• Allocate repair jobs to technicians according to skill level, workload, and job requirements.
• Monitor job progress and ensure vehicles are completed within the promised delivery time.
• Coordinate with Service Advisors, Parts Department, Warranty Department, and other relevant teams.
• Ensure workshop bays, tools, equipment, and facilities are properly utilized and maintained.
• Monitor workshop productivity, efficiency, and technician utilization.
• Provide technical guidance and support to technicians in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
• Review complex repair cases and assist technicians in identifying root causes of vehicle faults.
• Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer repair procedures and technical specifications.
• Support technicians with technical information, diagnostic procedures, and appropriate repair methods.
• Ensure all repairs meet Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge manufacturer quality standards.
• Conduct or coordinate final inspections and quality checks before vehicle delivery.
• Minimize repeat repairs, comebacks, and customer complaints.
• Ensure proper documentation of diagnostic findings, repairs, parts replaced, and recommendations.
• Implement corrective actions when recurring technical or quality issues are identified.
• Supervise, motivate, and guide workshop technicians and support staff.
• Monitor individual technician performance, productivity, and work quality.
• Ensure compliance with company health and safety procedures and UAE workplace requirements.
• Ensure technicians use appropriate PPE and follow safe working practices.
• Ensure correct handling and storage of tools, equipment, oils, batteries, chemicals, and other workshop materials.
• Report accidents, unsafe conditions, and equipment issues promptly.
• Support Service Advisors in resolving technical customer concerns.
• Explain technical issues and recommended repairs when required.
• Assist in handling customer complaints related to vehicle repairs and technical matters.
• Ensure customer vehicles are repaired correctly and returned in a clean and satisfactory condition.
• Contribute to achieving high customer satisfaction and CSI targets.
• Monitor workshop KPIs including technician productivity, efficiency, and workshop utilization.
• Identify opportunities to improve workshop efficiency and reduce unnecessary costs.
• Control rework, warranty-related errors, and avoidable parts/labor expenses.
• Ensure proper utilization of workshop resources and equipment.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

• Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
• Leadership and team-management skills.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and repair information.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of relevant automotive workshop experience, preferably within a dealership or authorized service center.
• Manufacturer training/certification in Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, or Stellantis products is an advantage.
• Experience with modern vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and preventive maintenance.
