Overview Of The Role:
The Sales Assistant is responsible for generating sales and ensuring a positive customer experience in the market hall area. This entails supporting operational duties, such as product arrangement and sales floor maintenance, as instructed by the shopkeeper. They play a critical role in maintaining store standards, representing the brand positively, and achieving sales targets while fostering a welcoming environment for customers.


What You Will Do:

  • Deliver a positive customer experience in the market hall area.
  • Meet or exceed weekly sales targets.
  • Provide customers with current relevant information.
  • Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile.
  • Create a positive first impression for the customer through an energetic attitude and adhering to dress code.
  • Meet the needs of customers by being understanding and sensitive to diverse customers.
  • Create a sparkling clean and organized environment by maintaining store standards and cleanliness.
  • Participate in all market hall inventories.
  • Participate in and attend all store meetings and other related functions.
  • Assume and complete other duties as assigned by the shopkeeper.
  • Follow IKEA policies and procedures 100%.
  • Be flexible and work well with peers and management to accomplish duties.


Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a sales team.
  • Understanding of retail and fast-moving consumer goods.
  • Customer-focused with an energetic attitude.


What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • High School Degree.
  • Minimum of 1 year of retail sales experience.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Physically fit to lift certain products and stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
