We are currently seeking an experienced Legal professional to join our Group Legal Team in the capacity of Legal Executive.

 

Overview of the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Executive with at least two years of relevant experience to join our dynamic legal team. This role is ideal for individuals who have gained hands-on experience in legal support and are looking to continue developing their career in a fast-paced and professional environment.

 

What you will do

Legal Research

  • Conduct legal research on Omani law, including precedents and case laws, and any other relevant areas of law as directed by senior team members.

Document Drafting and Review

  • Assist in drafting legal documents, contracts, memoranda, resolutions and reports. Review and organize legal documents for accuracy and completeness.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain case files, legal documents, and correspondence. Organize and manage legal paperwork and assist in preparing documents for court filings, meetings, and hearings.

Client Communication

  • Assist with client communication, including gathering information, scheduling meetings, and ensuring all legal inquiries are addressed promptly.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Support the team in ensuring compliance with relevant local laws, regulations, and corporate policies.

Meeting Preparation

  • Assist in preparing materials for legal meetings and negotiations, taking notes, documenting minutes of meetings conducted by legal department or as advised by senior legal and assisting with follow-up actions.

General Legal Support

  • Provide general administrative support to senior legal team members, including calendar management, filing, and maintaining legal databases.

External Liaison

  • Liaise with external law firms for contract negotiations or to obtain legal opinions.

Dispute Management

  • Assist the legal team in managing litigation, arbitration, and regulatory investigations.

Coordination with External Counsel

  • Assist the legal team in coordinating with external law firms on dispute matters.

Status Reporting

  • Prepare and update status reports on all aspects of the legal department, including ongoing cases, projects, and any relevant developments.

Dispute Litigation

  • Attend all dispute litigation matters, including criminal, labor-related, and consumer complaints, to support the legal team in their management and resolution.

 

Required skills to be successful

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of Omani laws and regulations

 

What equips you for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a legal environment (previous positions in law firms or legal departments).
