Overview Of The Role:

The HR Business Partner acts as a trusted advisor to senior line management on all Human Resource Management matters. This role requires a deep understanding of the business to implement HR strategies that support business growth. It emphasizes building a performance-focused culture, ensuring meritocracy and diversity, and complying with group HR policies. The role also includes developing succession plans, managing learning and development, and facilitating organizational change to optimize the workforce and financial resources.


What You Will Do:

Strategy

  • In liaison with the Business MD, GM HR, and Group HR Director, create an HR strategy for the Store and develop the annual HR Plan.
  • Communicate plans and progress against the plan to the HR Function and Business Units.
  • Foster a continuous improvement environment for HR Activities within Business Units.

 

Capability

  • Ensure new employees are properly inducted and supported to quickly become productive.
  • Develop succession plans and retention strategies for key talent and positions.
  • Formulate and implement performance management plans to improve performance or assist with exits from the organization.
  • Liaise with the Group Training Department to ensure delivery of appropriate training initiatives.
  • Identify and address training needs for key high-potential staff.

 

Commercial

  • Act as a trusted business partner and coach to senior line management.
  • Consult and support line managers across the business units.
  • Measure and improve employee engagement within the business units.
  • Advise and mentor management and HR team on people-related issues.
  • Facilitate change and transition as a change agent for the organization.

 

Workforce Optimisation

  • Advise and support the creation and management of a lean, multi-skilled workforce.
  • Facilitate the implementation of business structure reorganization for efficiency.
  • Communicate organizational messages and monitor feedback within business units.
  • Ensure compliance with localization policy and targets.

 

Financial

  • Provide regular financial reporting of employee costs to line management.
  • Conduct annual manpower budgeting exercises accurately and efficiently.
  • Create, manage, and obtain approval for the HR Department budget.
  • Ensure HR Team adherence to business financial systems and processes.

 

People Management and Development

  • Prepare action plans for individuals and teams for sales leads and prospects.
  • Provide timely performance feedback to senior management.
  • Lead a culturally diverse team of sales staff with effective leadership.
  • Ensure competent staff selection and ongoing motivation, training, and development.


Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Change Management expertise.
  • Strong organizational and performance management skills.
  • Proficient in analytical skills and financial modeling.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.


What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Human Resource, Psychology, or Business Management Degree.
  • CIPD qualification desirable.
  • Minimum five years HR Generalist experience.
  • Previous experience as a HR Business Partner.
