• The Sales Associate Cum Cashier is responsible for supporting store objectives through delivering exemplary customer service and maintaining designated store sections. This role involves handling sales transactions, managing store presentation, and ensuring compliance with store policies. Success in this role is measured by customer satisfaction, sales targets achieved, and maintaining store standards, requiring coordination with the store management team.

Sales and Customer Service

• Maintain responsibility for one or several sections of the store as instructed by your Manager, ensuring the basic presentation of the area (folding and displaying).
• Deliver excellent customer services in order to achieve store sales targets and provide a great customer experience.
• Ensure that customers are acknowledged and receive quality services either face-to-face or over the telephone.
• Continually develop stock knowledge and promotions throughout the store.

Cash Handling and Transactions

• Process sales, exchanges, and refunds efficiently, accurately, and quickly using all payment methods.
• Ensure complete efficiency when following opening and closing cash desk procedures.
• Cover key responsibilities of the Head Cashier and Deputy Cashier in their absence.

Store Maintenance and Standards

• Ensure that good housekeeping standards are maintained on the shop floor when required.
• Ensure that the cash desk areas are replenished and kept tidy throughout the day.
• Maintain excellent standards in the stockroom by organizing and arranging the stock efficiently.

Compliance and Health & Safety

• Ensure that the store is adequately resourced across all areas that are touched by legal compliance and that employees are knowledgeable about SOPs.
• Communicate with the senior management team in case an accident occurs and be aware of safety risks for employees and customers.

Training and Development

• Attend all relevant training pertaining to customer service and product knowledge.
• Follow and engage in the relevant training and development as set by your line manager.

• Strong initiative and self-motivation
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Good organizational, management, and sales skills

• Degree holder with previous fashion retail experience and/or excellent customer service experience preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience is desirable with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
• Flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
