Overview of the role

As the Manager –Training & Development (Technical), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our technicians and technical staff are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to maintain high standards of service quality. You will lead the design and delivery of technical training programs, manage training resources, and ensure alignment with manufacturer standards and industry advancements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver technical training programs aligned with product updates and service standards.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to identify skill gaps and training needs.
  • Ensure training content complies with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) guidelines and industry standards.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve delivery methods.
  • Manage training facilities, tools, and equipment.
  • Conduct product familiarization and skills development programs for new and existing staff.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automotive technology.
  • Organize technical competitions and workshops to promote skill development.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, NVQ Level 5 or equivalent technical certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical training within the automotive sector.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.

 

Required skills to be successful

  • Experience with training delivery platforms and hands-on workshops.
  • Experience working with OEMs and managing training programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to design, develop, and deliver engaging technical training programs tailored to diverse learning styles and skill levels.
