Key Requirements

  • An Attorney-at-law.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in court work.
  • Ability to draft all legal documents in relation to commercial transactions.
  • Excellent knowledge & understanding of Corporate Law & Procedure
  • Experience in handling Police and Magisterial inquiries.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in Sinhala and English languages.
  • IT Literacy.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Negotiate, draft, review and advise upon, all required legal and contractual documentation.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel for litigation matters.
  • Handle litigation matters of the Company.
  • Lodging police complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with customers and preparing settlement agreements.
  • Preparing legal research.
  • Provide advice in respect of more general commercial matters to business divisions of the company.
  • Handle Notarial work of the Company.
