Overview Of The Role:
- The VCM / FLS Supervisor is responsible for overseeing shop floor operations and managing both product displays and customer interactions to ensure an optimal shopping experience. Success in this role relies on excellent leadership in managing the commercial team, optimizing floor layouts to reflect the brand's visual merchandising standards, and responding to market dynamics effectively. Key responsibilities include managing fitting rooms, tackling customer service scenarios, driving commercial initiatives, and ensuring compliance with store protocols. Working collaboratively with the store and section managers is essential to meet organizational objectives and growth targets.
What You Will Do:
Shop Floor & Fitting Room Management
- Maintain a professional personal image and oversee the presentation of other staff.
- Ensure efficient replenishment and product display during peak hours and days.
- Lead by example and teach the team the 6 Minimums of Customer Service, motivating them to achieve these standards.
- Provide immediate assistance and solutions to customers, including up-selling when appropriate.
- Supervise and ensure the fitting room maintains a proper image.
- Handle customer complaints and difficult situations according to company procedure.
- Collect and communicate product feedback from customers to managers.
- Manage queue and service at cashier counter.
Product Knowledge & Floor Layout
- Ensure furniture use complies with the Visual Merchandising Manual and adjust lighting as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory on store fixtures and ensure their condition meets standards.
- Ensure constant replenishment of products on the shop floor.
Commerciality
- React proactively to special commercial occasions such as weather changes or mall events.
- Utilize RFID commercial reports for strategic decision-making.
- Understand and apply concepts like Y and Success in sales events such as rebajas.
- Analyze and apply findings from various reports including rotation and success, subfamily, and new arrival reports.
Visual Merchandising Skills
- Demonstrate knowledge of the company boutique concept and coordinate product displays accordingly.
- Identify and prioritize best-selling, new, and potential collections for display.
- Balance between sales and image to prepare for special sales days.
- Apply the 5 Basic VM principles effectively and manage replenishment numbers on displays.
Learning & Development
- Responsible for training and developing the commercial team.
- Identify and cultivate potential in the store and manage succession planning.
Standards & Compliance
- Ensure adequate resourcing and compliance knowledge across the store.
- Conduct store self-assessment audits and implement action plans with management.
- Keep employees updated and knowledgeable about SOPs.
Health & Safety
- Ensure good housekeeping throughout the store and communicate with management about any accidents.
- Be aware of risks and enforce safe work practices to mitigate them.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage floor operations and staff effectively during peak times.
- Proficiency in visual merchandising and product presentation.
- Capacity for proactive commercial planning through data analysis and report usage.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Previous experience in fashion retail or customer service is preferred.
- Ability to handle cash transactions is desirable.
- Strong numerical and literacy skills are necessary.
- Possess a passion for fashion and strong communication skills.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, with good interpersonal skills and strong initiative.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
