Overview Of The Role:
- The Sales Associate Cum Cashier is responsible for delivering excellent customer service and supporting store objectives by maintaining designated sections effectively. This role requires processing sales transactions efficiently and ensuring that the retail environment is organized and adheres to the company's operational and compliance standards. The associate must also ensure that the store accomplishes and maintains health and safety standards, while being flexible to cover the responsibilities of the cash management team when necessary.
What You Will Do:
Store Management
- Maintain responsibility for one or several sections of the store as instructed, keeping a basic image of the area by folding and displaying items appropriately.
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the shop floor and that the cash desk areas are replenished and kept tidy.
- Maintain excellent standards in the stockroom by organizing and arranging efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding the store's legal and operational activities.
Customer Service
- Provide a high level of customer service, in person and over the phone, ensuring customers are acknowledged and attended to promptly.
- Process sales, exchanges, and refunds efficiently, accurately, and quickly across all payment methods.
- Attend all relevant trainings to improve customer service and product knowledge.
Cash Handling
- Cover key responsibilities of the Head Cashier and Deputy Cashier in their absence, ensuring efficient processing of transactions.
- Ensure efficiency in opening and closing cash desk procedures.
Health and Safety
- Maintain good housekeeping throughout all areas in the store, communicating with senior management in case of accidents.
- Be aware of and manage risks associated with employee and customer safety, ensuring safe work practices and adherence to company procedures.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for fashion to enhance the shopping experience.
- Effective cash handling abilities to manage transactions seamlessly.
- Knowledge of retail operational standards and compliance requirements.
- Ability to maintain a well-organized and visually appealing store environment.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Previous experience in fashion retail and/or outstanding customer service experience.
- Previous cash handling experience is desirable.
- Strong literacy and numerical skills, with a love and passion for fashion.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, articulate, with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team with strong initiative and self-motivation.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
