Overview Of The Role:
- The Sales Associate Cum Cashier plays a vital role in supporting store objectives by delivering exemplary customer service, ensuring efficient maintenance of designated store sections, processing sales transactions, and contributing to a positive shopping environment. Success in this role is measured by sales performance, adherence to company policies, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. The role is embedded within a dynamic retail environment and demands adaptability, product knowledge, and compliance with organizational procedures.
What You Will Do:
General
- Maintain responsibility for designated sections of the store, ensuring proper folding and display.
- Process sales, exchanges, and refunds efficiently and accurately in all payment methods.
- Keep the shop floor and cash desk areas tidy and replenished throughout the day.
- Acknowledge and provide quality service to customers both face-to-face and over the telephone.
- Organize and maintain excellent standards in the stockroom.
- Develop knowledge of products and promotions throughout the store.
- Cover key responsibilities of the Head Cashier and Deputy Cashier in their absence.
- Follow opening and closing cash desk procedures efficiently.
- Attend all relevant training sessions related to customer service and product knowledge.
- Understand and comply with legal compliance related to store operations.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards in the store and communicate issues to senior management.
- Be aware of health and safety risks and company procedures to mitigate them.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills for handling transactions.
- Excellent communication skills for customer interaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Adaptable to working varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Previous fashion retail experience or strong customer service experience.
- Cash handling experience preferred with strong numerical and literacy skills.
- Passion for fashion and excellent communication skills.
- Energetic, enthusiastic with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
