• The role of Sales Associate cum Cashier involves supporting store objectives by delivering excellent customer service and maintaining the designated sections of the store. This position requires efficient processing of transactions, maintaining stockroom organization, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Key to success in this role is adaptability, product knowledge, and an ability to engage with customers, ultimately contributing to achieving store sales targets.

General

• Maintain responsibility for designated sections of the store, ensuring basic presentation standards such as folding and displaying items.
• Process sales, exchanges, and refunds efficiently, utilizing all payment methods accurately and swiftly.
• Keep cash desk areas replenished and tidy throughout the day, ensuring excellent housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Acknowledge and provide quality customer service both face-to-face and over the telephone.
• Organize and arrange the stockroom efficiently to uphold excellent standards.
• Develop extensive knowledge of stock and promotions to better assist customers.
• Cover responsibilities of Head Cashier and Deputy Cashier in their absence, ensuring continuity of operations.
• Follow opening and closing procedures of cash desks meticulously to ensure efficiency.

Training and Development

• Attend customer service and product knowledge training sessions to enhance personal development.

Compliance and Standards

• Ensure all areas of the store comply with legal requirements and maintain thorough knowledge of all compliance matters.
• Inform and update employees on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain compliance.
• Conduct self-assessment audits and review internal audit reports, working with management to implement action plans.
• Maintain health and safety standards throughout the store and report accidents to senior management.
• Be aware of risks to employees and customers, adhering to safe work practices to minimize hazards.

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to engage with customers effectively.
• Organizational skills for stockroom management and shop floor maintenance.
• Proficiency in handling cash and processing transactions accurately.
• Ability to follow compliance procedures and ensure health and safety standards.

• Previous experience in fashion retail or customer service is preferred.
• Experience in cash handling is desirable.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
• Passion for fashion and good communication skills.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and possesses good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexible availability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
