• The Sales Associate cum Cashier supports store objectives by delivering excellent customer service and maintaining designated store sections. The role requires a diligent and customer-focused individual capable of handling transactions quickly and efficiently while ensuring the store sections are tidy and organized. The position is critical for achieving store sales targets and enhancing customer experience, blending sales, service, and compliance duties with opportunities for professional growth.

General

• Maintain responsibility for designated sections of the store as instructed by the Manager, ensuring folding and displaying areas are organized and presentable.
• Process sales, exchanges, and refunds efficiently and accurately across all payment methods.
• Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained on the shop floor and cash desk areas are replenished and tidy throughout the day.
• Acknowledge customers promptly and provide quality service, either face-to-face or over the telephone.
• Organize and arrange stockroom efficiently to maintain excellent standards.
• Develop knowledge of stock and promotions throughout the store continually.
• Cover responsibilities of Head Cashier and Deputy Cashier in their absence, ensuring complete efficiency in opening and closing cash desk procedures.
• Follow and participate in relevant training and development set by line manager.
• Attend all relevant trainings pertaining to customer services and product knowledge.
• Ensure store is adequately resourced, comply with legal requirements, and conduct self-assessment audits with action plans.
• Communicate with senior management about health and safety, maintaining good housekeeping and awareness of risks to employees and customers.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in customer service and cash handling processes.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
• Capable of working under pressure and adapting to a fast-paced retail environment.

• Previous experience in fashion retail or excellent customer service is preferred.
• Prior cash handling experience is desirable.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills required.
• Must be articulate with good communication, interpersonal skills, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated, with a strong initiative.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Passion for fashion is essential.
