• The Sales Associate Cum Cashier plays a crucial role in supporting the store's objectives by delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the effective maintenance of designated sections. This role involves direct interaction with customers, processing transactions, maintaining store standards, and ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols. The position requires an energetic, customer-focused individual who can work both independently and collaboratively to achieve sales targets and provide an exceptional customer experience.

General

• Maintain responsibility for one or several sections of the store as instructed by your Manager, keeping a basic image of the area, such as folding and displaying merchandise.
• Process sales, exchanges, and refunds efficiently and accurately using various payment methods.
• Ensure that good housekeeping standards are maintained on the shop floor and ensure that the cash desk areas are replenished and kept tidy throughout the day.
• Acknowledge and provide quality customer service either face-to-face or over the telephone.
• Maintain excellent standards in the stockroom by organizing and arranging the stock efficiently.
• Continually develop stock knowledge and promotions throughout the store.
• Cover key responsibilities of the Head Cashier and Deputy Cashier in their absence.
• Follow and engage in relevant training and development as set by your line manager.
• Ensure complete efficiency when following opening and closing cash desk procedures.

Training & Development

• Attend all relevant trainings pertaining to customer services and product knowledge.

Compliance and Health & Safety

• Ensure the store is adequately resourced in all legal compliance areas and maintain thorough knowledge of compliance issues across the store.
• Ensure employees are knowledgeable and always updated on SOPs.
• Implement store self-assessment audits, review internal audit reports, and devise action plans with the wider management team.
• Ensure good housekeeping is maintained throughout the store and communicate with senior management in case of accidents.
• Be aware of risks for employees and customers and understand safe work practices and company procedures to mitigate them.

• Previous fashion retail experience and/or excellent customer service experience preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience desirable.

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong initiative and self-motivation.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
