Overview Of The Role:
- The primary purpose of this role is to support store objectives by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining designated sections, and enhancing customer experience to achieve store sales targets. The part-time role involves ensuring sections are organized, processing transactions efficiently, and upholding housekeeping standards. The employee will engage with customers to facilitate a positive retail experience and contribute to the overall success of the store operations. Success in this role depends on strong initiative, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.
What You Will Do:
Store Maintenance
- Maintain responsibility for one or several sections of the store as instructed by the Manager, ensuring a basic image through folding and displaying.
- Ensure that good housekeeping standards are maintained on the shop floor and that cash desk areas are replenished and kept tidy throughout the day.
Sales Transactions
- Process sales, exchanges, and refunds efficiently, accurately, and quickly in all payment methods.
Customer Service
- Ensure that customers are acknowledged and receive quality services either face-to-face or over the telephone.
Stock Management
- Maintain excellent standards in the stockroom by organizing and arranging it efficiently.
- Continually develop stock knowledge and promotions throughout the store.
Compliance and Standards
- Ensure employees are knowledgeable and updated on SOPs.
- Implement store self-assessment audits and review internal audit reports, devising action plans with the wider management team.
- Ensure good housekeeping is maintained throughout all areas in the store, communicating with senior management in case of accidents.
- Be aware of risks to employees and customers and adhere to safe work practices and company procedures.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Excellent customer service skills to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency in processing sales and handling cash transactions efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain stockroom efficiency and store layout.
- Ability to follow health and safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Previous fashion retail experience and/or excellent customer service experience preferred.
- A passion for fashion and an energetic, enthusiastic demeanor.
- Good communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to articulate well.
- Strong initiative and self-motivation, with the flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
