Overview Of The Role:

  • The Logistic Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting efficient and compliant logistics operations. This involves coordinating stock movements, managing inventory and documentation, and ensuring timely material availability across stores and warehouses. The position is responsible for accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and smooth day-to-day logistics execution while providing operational support for business continuity. Success in this role requires strong communication, organization, and coordination skills to effectively liaise between stores, warehouses, and government authorities.

What You Will Do:

General


  • Coordinate stock movements and work closely with internal stores to ensure smooth, timely, and accurate material transfers.
  • Support store closures, consumable material supply, and related logistics activities, ensuring proper planning and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to manage incoming/outgoing stock movements and ensure alignment with operational requirements.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly logistics reports, covering stock movement, documentation status, vendor invoices, and related KPIs.
  • Utilize SAP systems for inventory updates, material transactions, and documentation management; SAP experience is an added advantage.
  • Liaise with government authorities for import permit applications, such as SIRIM and NPRA, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain, manage, and file all logistics documentation accurately, ensuring proper audit readiness and traceability.
  • Process vendor invoices on time, ensuring accuracy and prompt submission to Finance for payment.
  • Provide off hour operational support when required, including coordination during weekends or public holidays.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by the Manager, supporting overall logistics and operational continuity.


Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Strong ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
  • Experience with import permit applications and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure audit readiness through diligent documentation management.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in logistics or related fields.
  • Minimum Diploma in a related discipline.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Good communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
  • Experience using SAP systems is an added advantage.
