Overview Of The Role:

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for performing mechanical repairs in accordance with established procedures and specifications. The role focuses on ensuring high productivity and quality of service, complying with safety standards, and maintaining a clean work environment. The technician will also assess faults accurately and carry out necessary repairs using diagnostic tools and technical manuals. Success in this role is measured by customer satisfaction and adherence to company standards.

What You Will Do:

• Execute vehicle repair and maintenance jobs in line with established work procedures, specifications, and time standards.
• Diagnose mechanical faults accurately and carry out repairs, overhauls, reassemblies, and wheel alignment corrections as per repair manuals.
• Deliver high quality workmanship to ensure customer satisfaction and minimize repeat repairs.
• Conduct quality checks and complete service documentation in compliance with dealer and principal requirements.
• Use scan tools, special service tools, and the principal’s online repair manuals effectively.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards, ensuring a clean and safe workplace.
• Plan and manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining productivity and quality benchmarks.
• Stay updated with new technologies, procedures, and time standards through ongoing training.
• Comply fully with company rules, regulations, safety standards, and operational procedures.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

• Strong vehicle diagnostics and mechanical repair skills across complex systems and components.
• Proficiency in using scan tools, special service tools, and online repair manuals.
• High attention to quality, accuracy, and detail to minimize repeat repairs and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards, work procedures, and time management in a workshop environment.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

• SSC/Trade certificate/Vocational Training or equivalent.
• 3 - 5 years of experience as a mechanical technician in a reputable workshop.
• Proficiency in reading, understanding, and writing English for training and job documentation.
• Good computer skills for accessing online repair manuals.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
• Strong ability to deliver results and meet expectations.
• Behavioral competencies such as following instructions and meeting standard expectations.
