Al Futtaim Education Foundation (AFEF) owns and provides governance to Deira International School. AFEF aims to realise its vision of taking education in the UAE to the next level of future readiness and of preparing students for an increasingly globalised and technologically advanced world. Al Futtaim Education Foundation is seeking experienced and passionate (iLSA’s) individual Learning Support Assistants to join our leading international schools, Deira International School and Universal American School, in Al Badia, Festival City, Dubai.

The successful candidate will be actively involved throughout the day in both the whole school and classroom environments, supporting the needs of a designated pupil. This role assists the lead teacher in implementing the curriculum and responding to pupil needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote the learning and personal development of their designated pupil.

Provide support both inside the classroom and in other learning areas as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school certificate or a Bachelor's degree.
• A recognised certification in SEN (Special Educational Needs).
• Previous relevant experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar capacity is preferred.
• Knowledge of strategies that promote good behaviour and discipline.
• Supportive of the learning environment ethos.
• Caring and tolerant nature.
• Ability to acquire additional knowledge to contribute effectively and confidently to classes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in literacy and numeracy.
• ICT capability.
