Overview of the role:
• The purpose of the Head of Retail will be responsible e for PandL growth of new electric vehicle brands in the UAE through implementation of a consistent and exemplary customer experience in line with the brand and Al-Futtaim electric vehicle guidelines and customer journey, to deliver on the network performance in new car sales, certified pre-owned vehicle sales, financing and retail after-sales service as well as ensuring stock levels are optimized, deliver sales and financial targets on a monthly basis.
What you will do:
Retailing:
• Establish a world-class retail organization and get customer experience in new electric brands implementing a retail sales strategy and proposition that leads to improvements in overall retail performance, customer loyalty and profit growth.
• Market development:
• To set up the sales and Aftersales retail teams and readiness of stock to implement go-to-market strategies for new market growth.
Matrix Retail Organization:
• Drive successful financial performance and customer satisfaction for new electric vehicle brands retail via shared accountabilities with the Al-Futtaim automotive and emerging electric vehicles brand teams as well as Al-Futtaim financial services.
Customer Experience:
• Provide retail customers with an outstanding end-to-end customer journey according to the brand and Al-Futtaim guidelines and ensure the retail team deliver a consistent retail experience through physical and digital channels.
• Support and coordinate the development and implementation of the new electric vehicle brands automotive brand digital experience (including e-commerce).
• Active role in customer interaction management ensuring sense of pulse and voice of the electric vehicle customers.
Business Performance:
• Drive revenue and profit to achieve the budgeted target on net sales, gross margins, and net profit for the entire retail business including sales, service and parts ensuring stock levels are optimized.
• Manage new electric vehicle brands specific sales and Aftersales financial budgetary goals and forecasts.
• Lead penetration of service and extended warranty plans.
Team Management:
• Create a high growth mindset team.
• Drive a talent development system that creates retail professionals who are recruited correctly, developed, coached and engaged through performance management, learning, development and succession planning.
• Establish lean and effective Dealer principal and sales and aftersales manager structure and team.
• Drive performance of retail team through measurable key performance indicators.
• Ensure 100% compliance with standard operating procedures.
• Drive Al-Futtaim values in the workplace.
Required Skills to be successful:
1.- Knowledge of the complete automotive business model and value chain and P&L & retailing experience
2.- Experience with leading teams across a large region
3.- Experience with Electric Vehicle brands and/or luxury brands
4.- Experience with managing premium customers and in-depth market insigh
About the Team:
• Reporting to the Managing Director and will work closely with the broader internal and external stakeholders
What equips you for the role:
• Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Business Administration or related discipline.
• 10 – 15 years knowledge and experience with P&L retailing in the retail automotive industry.
• Proven track record in establishing and driving best-in-class retail performance and customer experience in digital and/or high-end automotive dealerships/groups.
• Experience in relationship-based, modern, innovative, creative customer journeys that deliver future orientated customer experience.
• Experience in high-growth businesses and start-ups is highly preferable.
• Experience with rapid growth of brands into new markets including the set-up of sales and Aftersales teams.
• Experience with leading teams across a large region.
• Proven track record in driving performance of automotive key performance indicators.
• Experience with electric vehicle brands and/or luxury brands and a sales expert.
• Experience with premium customer experience and sustainability with a strong understanding of electric benefits in the automotive industry.
