Overview of the role

The Al-Futtaim Finance Company is Al-Futtaim's regulated financing company in the UAE. The Al-Futtaim Finance Company is part of Al-Futtaim's Financial Services Division and operates in consumer lending, automotive finance, credit cards, corporate and SME lending, and payment infrastructure.

The Al-Futtaim Finance Company Head of HR reports to the Financial Services HR Director and the Al-Futtaim Finance Company CEO. The role holder will act as a strategic partner to the company's Leadership Team, ensuring the business unit has the capability, culture, governance, and talent required to scale responsibly within a regulated financial services environment, while remaining fully aligned to Group HR strategy and “One Al‑Futtaim” standards.

Key Accountabilities

1. HR Strategy & Transformation

  • Define and execute the HR strategy and annual people plan aligned to the Al-Futtaim Finance Company growth agenda.
  • Support the operating model transition, organisation design, workforce planning, and capability.
  • Embed a high‑performance, risk‑aware culture suited to regulated financial services.

2. Business Partnering & Leadership Advisory

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Leadership Team on all people, organisation, and leadership matters.
  • Translate business strategy into clear people priorities, workforce plans, and leadership actions.
  • Coach senior leaders on talent, performance, engagement, conduct, and succession.

3. Workforce Planning & Talent Strategy

  • Own workforce planning across specialist Al-Futtaim Finance Company talent areas.
  • Build succession plans and targeted retention strategies for key roles.

4. Performance, Reward & Incentives

  • Drive a performance‑led culture, ensuring robust goal‑setting, KPIs, and evaluation aligned to business objectives.
  • Oversee reward, incentive, and commission governance.
  • Partner with Group Rewards Team on market benchmarking and remuneration.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance on all compensation and benefits matters in collaboration with the company's remuneration board.

5. Employee Relations, Governance & Compliance

  • Lead the Employee Relations agenda, ensuring fair, consistent, and risk‑managed outcomes.
  • Partner closely with Risk, Compliance, and Legal on conduct, disciplinary matters, and people‑related risk.

6. Organisational Capability & Learning

  • Define and deliver capability‑building initiatives across leadership, technical financial services skills, and people management.
  • Strengthen leadership bench strength through development plans, coaching, and succession pipelines.
  • Ensure effective onboarding and rapid productivity for critical roles. 

7. Emiratisation & Diversity

  • Own Emiratisation strategy for Al-Futtaim Finance Company, aligning to national targets and Group objectives.
  • Ensure a strong focus on diversity, inclusion, and meritocracy, embedded into hiring, progression, and reward decisions.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Experience as an HR Business Partner or Head of HR within the Financial Services sector is preffered. 
  • Strong ability to work through others within the wider Al-Futtaim HR community to achive objectives.
