Overview of the role:

An HVAC estimation and Costing engineer analyses the scope of a proposed heating, ventilation, and air conditioning project to create a detailed design, Equipment Selection and estimation of the project’s cost.

What you will do:-

Description of Accountability:

• An HVAC application engineer needs to have an understanding and / or experience of HVAC systems and services. Experience of HVAC software selection tools and Heat Load Calculation   software is essential, while skills in AutoCAD, Excel and PowerPoint are also Necessary.
• Study of tender documents as well as pre-bid points to work out the scope of work for tender jobs for HVAC projects including Preparation of tender appreciation notes.
• Develops and maintains strong technical and applications expertise with all OMASCO’s Air Conditioning Products involving Chillers, AHU’s, FCU’s, Package Units, DX Central Split Units and VRF Systems.
• Prepares Heat Load Calculation, quotations and responds to technical inquiries in a timely manner in response to External Sales requests and Supports our external sales team in these efforts as well
• Sending Inquiries to vendors and taking Quotations from vendors for major HVAC items and preparation of cost comparison sheets for Quotations received from vendors.
• Preparation of Detailed BOQ as per tender specifications and comparative statements and Reviewing Tender Vs Actual Quantities along with Quantity Estimation for major Project Quantities
• Studying the Scope of work and technical specifications and conditions of the contract
• Able to read and comprehend an engineering specification/drawing and suggest the appropriate products to quote and submit, including pointing out exceptions to the specification
• Self-motivated to support the customers by maintaining constant communication with Customer, projects execution team, manufacturer and service teams.

What equips you for the role:

• B.Tech /B.E / Diploma in mechanical engineering
• Minimum Three Years’ experience as HVAC Applications/Estimation Engineer
• Technical & Application Knowledge in Heat Load and HVAC Equipment Selections
• Experienced in design of HVAC Systems of both Chilled Water & VRF systems.
• Usage of Computing applications, & Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and proposal making skills.
• Experience in gulf with valid Oman/Middle East driving license preferred.
