Overview of the Role

The Finance Business Partner acts as a strategic advisor to business units by providing financial insights, supporting data-driven decision-making, and ensuring alignment between financial performance and business objectives. The role focuses on strengthening financial control, improving visibility on performance, and supporting business growth through effective planning, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration.

 

What You Will Do

Financial Operations

  • Support daily financial activities to ensure transactions are accurately recorded and processed on time.
  • Monitor invoices, payments, accruals, and financial postings.
  • Coordinate with Shared Services to resolve billing and cost allocation issues.
  • Act as a key support point for operational teams on finance-related queries.
  • Ensure smooth execution of finance processes and reliability of financial data.

 

Cash Flow & Working Capital

  • Support preparation and monitoring of cash flow forecasts.
  • Track inflows and outflows to improve financial visibility.
  • Monitor receivables, payables, and accruals.
  • Identify risks or delays in cash flow and escalate when needed.
  • Support initiatives to improve cash collection and discipline.

 

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles.
  • Coordinate inputs across Operations, Sales, and other departments.
  • Consolidate data and validate assumptions.
  • Assist in rolling forecasts based on actual performance.
  • Prepare variance analysis between budget, forecast, and actuals.

 

Reporting & Insights

  • Support preparation of management reports and dashboards.
  • Conduct variance analysis across revenue, cost, and margins.
  • Provide clear financial insights to stakeholders.
  • Support business cases, pricing reviews, and investment analysis.
  • Translate financial data into actionable business insights.

 

Planning & Reporting Coordination

  • Ensure adherence to Group reporting timelines and standards.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency in financial submissions.
  • Coordinate with multiple teams to support reporting cycles.
  • Prepare materials for leadership and review meetings.

 

Month-End Close

  • Support monthly financial closing activities with Shared Services.
  • Review revenue recognition, accruals, deferrals, and provisions.
  • Investigate variances and unusual movements.
  • Ensure timely submission of financial reports in line with Group standards.

 

Accounting & Compliance

  • Support management of accrals, prepayments, and deferrals.
  • Ensure proper documentation and validation of assumptions.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Ensure integrity of financial reporting.

 

Audit

  • Act as a key support contact for internal and external audits.
  • Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
  • Respond to audit queries and track action items.
  • Support audit readiness and compliance.

 

Stakeholder Support & Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations, Sales, Shared Services, and Group Finance.
  • Provide responsive and professional financial support.
  • Communicate clearly to resolve issues and align priorities.
  • Build trust through reliability and consistent service delivery.

What Qualifies You for the Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) is a plus
  • 4–7 years of experience in finance, FP&A, or business partnering roles
  • Experience in automotive or large corporate environments is preferred
  • Strong Excel and financial systems knowledge
