Overview of the Role
The Finance Analyst supports financial planning and analysis activities by delivering accurate reports, analyzing financial data, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes. The role plays a key part in ensuring data integrity, supporting performance tracking, and providing insights to enable informed business decisions.
What You Will Do
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly financial reports and variance analysis.
- Analyze financial performance and highlight key trends and anomalies.
- Support management reporting and dashboard preparation.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Support consolidation of data from different departments.
- Track performance against budget and forecast.
- Assist in variance analysis between actuals and planned figures.
Data & Financial Models
- Maintain and update financial models and reports.
- Support development of dashboards and reporting tools.
- Ensure data integrity across financial systems.
Month-End Close
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in reviewing financial data and identifying discrepancies.
- Coordinate with finance teams to ensure timely closing.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work with different departments to gather financial data.
- Provide support on financial queries.
- Assist in translating financial data into simple insights.
Required Skills to Be Successful
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of financial reporting and analysis
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work with large datasets
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
What Qualifies You for the Role
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in finance or FP&A
- Experience in reporting and financial analysis
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (advanced level required)
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI is a plus
- Basic knowledge of IFRS or GAAP
