Overview Of The Role:
The Visual Merchandise Manager is responsible for ensuring the store's visual expression aligns with IKEA manuals and fully implements the IKEA Concept. Successful execution of timeplans and budgets for projects is essential. The role involves leading a team to enhance commerciality through strategic range presentations and fostering a collaborative environment for co-worker development. The manager also plays a critical role in operational projects and maintaining brand standards across multiple locations (UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Oman). Key success factors include the ability to lead and inspire creative solutions while maintaining high safety and performance standards.
What You Will Do:
- Support Market hall areas and enhance Add-on sales using visual merchandising techniques.
- Lead work brief processes in collaboration with Sales and Logistics Managers.
- Guide and develop specialist co-workers in the Com&In department.
- Provide expert advice on range presentation to achieve sales goals when range changes occur, sales drop, or items are out of stock.
- Participate in projects and activities within the store, such as rebuilding business areas based on changing priorities or performance feedback.
- Assist Visual Merchandisers with planned store activities and projects as needed.
- Ensure visual merchandisers receive training in safety and security measures for equipment use.
- Facilitate development programs for Visual Merchandisers to secure store performance and succession needs.
- Recruitment involvement to ensure vacancies are swiftly filled with suitable candidates.
- Drive positive outcomes in employee surveys and address areas of low satisfaction.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Leadership in planning and execution of range presentation solutions.
- Expertise in safety and security protocols related to merchandising equipment.
- Ability to drive and sustain advancements in merchandising training programs.
- Skilled in recruitment processes and employee satisfaction improvement tactics.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Degree/Diploma in Interior Designing or Architecture.
- Minimum of 5 years experience within the Communication & Interior Design department at IKEA.
- Proficient in leading planning, presentation, and implementation of range presentation solutions.
- Strong competencies in customer focus, individual accountability, continuous improvement, personal leadership, and teamwork.
