Overview Of The Role:
The Shopping Experience Team Leader is responsible for driving sales growth and ensuring long-term profitability by fostering strong relationships with both new and existing customers. The role aims to enhance customer satisfaction by implementing standard IKEA shopping methods, safeguarding the mechanical sales process, and supporting the self-serve concept. This position requires motivating and leading the team with a deep knowledge of IKEA's product range and services, alongside market and customer insights.


What You Will Do:

  • Ensure customer guidance is in place to ensure an easy customer flow.
  • Ensure the waiting time and queuing policy are maintained as per benchmark.
  • Support co-workers when they cannot resolve customer complaints, dealing positively and quickly with issues raised by customers.
  • Ensure that co-workers are providing excellent customer service and acknowledge customers.
  • Motivate and inspire the department team using knowledge of the IKEA product range and services, the local market, and IKEA customers.
  • Coach co-workers, support their training paths, probation periods and coach team members on key responsibilities according to the task list.
  • Ensure that co-workers are aware of targets in sales, services, and employee business plans (EBPs).
  • Ensure co-workers are trained in their job and can provide accurate information to customers.
  • Fulfill daily tasks and monthly KPIs, required by the group leader.
  • Find more effective ways of working to reduce costs.
  • Ensure all department SOPs are shared with co-workers.
  • Receive, count, and sign off for cash float for the day from the Accounts Department.
  • Ensure cash and coins are organized properly as per their denomination in the till.
  • Prepare a reconciliation document at the end of the business day accounting for all transactions.
  • Collaborate with Finance to control discrepancies and investigate them.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-4 years of experience in Retail, preferably in a team leadership role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to work.
  • Good command of the English language is required, with Arabic preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop team members.
