Overview Of The Role:
- The Sales Assistant is responsible for generating sales and delivering a positive customer experience. The role involves performing operational duties as specified by store management, including maintaining high housekeeping standards and adhering to visual presentation protocols. Success is defined by the ability to engage with customers effectively, provide timely information about products, and contribute to a welcoming shopping environment.
What You Will Do:
General
- Maintain store standards and cleanliness to create a sparkling clean and organized environment.
- Create a positive first impression for customers through energetic attitude and adherence to dress code.
- Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and sincere non-business-like greeting.
- Provide customers with current and relevant information about products.
- Offer quality service in the fitting rooms, follow up with customers in a timely manner, and attempt to add on to the sale.
- Provide efficient service at the cash wrap, offer gift cards, maintain cash wrap cleanliness, and capture customer information in the database.
- Thank all customers sincerely for shopping and invite them back as they exit the store.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain store cleanliness and organizational standards.
- Proficiency in using customer information systems.
- Good communication skills capable of building positive customer relationships.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- High School Degree.
- 1-2 years of retail sales experience.
- Ability to use computer-aided design (CAD) packages, such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, Illustrator, or Photoshop.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Physical capability to perform some heavy lifting.
