Overview Of The Role:
The Sales Assistant is responsible for driving sales generation and delivering an exceptional customer experience in the market hall area. This role involves supporting the shopkeeper in various operational duties such as arranging products and maintaining the sales floor. Successful candidates will be capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team to achieve sales targets, handle customer interactions professionally, and maintain high store standards. A key aspect of the role is to foster a welcoming shopping environment through product knowledge and excellent customer service.


What You Will Do:

  • Create and maintain a sparkling clean and organized environment by adhering to store standards and cleanliness protocols.
  • Represent a positive attitude towards the merchandise, the brand, and the company at all times.
  • Meet or exceed weekly sales targets as assigned.
  • Participate in all market hall inventories to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Attend store meetings and other related functions to stay updated on company goals and policies.
  • Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and provide a warm welcome.
  • Provide customers with current and relevant information regarding products and promotions.
  • Adhere to IKEA's policies and procedures 100% to maintain consistency and quality in customer service.
  • Contribute to creating a positive first impression for customers through an energetic attitude and adherence to the dress code.
  • Be flexible and work well with peers and management to accomplish duties effectively.
  • Follow work schedule punctually and be adaptable to changes in shift assignments.

  • Excellent customer service skills to create a positive shopping experience.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and support fellow team members effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly store.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work varying shifts and handle changes in work assignments.


What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • High School Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of retail sales experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, demonstrating good verbal communication skills.
  • Physical capability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours and lift stock or products as needed.
