Overview Of The Role:
The Goods Flow Group Leader supports the Goods Flow Manager by leading the goods flow team to ensure maximum goods availability and efficient customer order fulfillment, while minimizing costs. This role involves coordinating the logistics operations within the given area, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, and advancing the IKEA values and culture within the team. Success in this role is demonstrated through high-quality logistics processes and operations that enhance the customer shopping experience.


What You Will Do:

  • Work closely with the Goods Flow team to secure correct usage of short-term capacity of the store to maximize efficient logistics operations with the right balance in inbound and outbound volume by considering space, equipment, and people.
  • Ensure that the goods flow team works in compliance with the IKEA code of conduct, internal regulations, and local legislation related to health, safety, security, and the environment.
  • Contribute relevant goods flow input and feedback to the logistics action plan and ensure these actions are implemented in inbound and/or outbound goods flow processes.
  • Share knowledge of effective and efficient goods flow operations and support competence development, including understanding health and safety in goods handling.
  • Secure effective, qualitative, and efficient daily goods flow operation to guarantee a superior customer shopping experience through quality of products, merchandising, and stock accuracy.
  • Contribute to the IKEA Value chain tasks and goals as outlined in the Global Service Protocol, local appendices, and service agreements with Transport Service Providers.
  • Contribute to positioning the IKEA store and brand as responsible partners in lowering environmental impact, supporting sustainable and profitable operations.
  • Live and promote IKEA values, nurturing a strong culture that inspires extraordinary achievements within the goods flow team.
  • Identify, recruit, retain, and develop diverse, competent talents in the goods flow team to ensure confident execution of responsibilities.
  • Build trust and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in various situations.
  • Manage a high-volume and vibrant retail environment.
  • Encourage and drive the goods flow team to make things happen efficiently, with simplicity and speed.


Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office and Navision.
  • Strong communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
  • Capability to manage high-volume retail operations effectively.
  • Ability to identify and nurture talent within the team.


What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 3 years of experience in goods flow and supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of Retail Operations.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office and operating systems like Navision.
  • Excellent communication skills, with good command of the English language. Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
  • Experience in managing a fast-paced environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
