The purpose of this job is to ensure that the necessary analysis is done on our assets performance and helps management to assess the performance of these assets and take corrective action if any.


Reporting to the Regional Lease Administration Manager the FP&A Analyst is responsible for giving credibility to AFGRE’s analytical cell on a day-to-day basis and supporting the strategic direction of AFGRE.  


The FP&A Analyst will support AFGRE’s  management team in terms of analysis of market trends, control of financial performance, strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting.


The ideal candidate would be commercially and detail oriented, have a strong analytical mind with the ability to identify and strengthen areas of business risk and formulation of an appropriate actions plan or recommendations


Regional Lease Administration Team:


The FP&A Analyst is a key member of the Regional Lease Administration  team which is responsible for supporting the regional malls leasing department. :

 §   Support,analysis and budget & forecasting for the Leasing Mangers and Director Leasing


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:


  • Preparation of day to day mall analysis reports which will support the business review packs including internal and external benchmarks 
  • Collate and Analyse business review packs for the different malls, identify areas of risk and improvement and provide commentary on the significance of numbers for the management
  • Preparation of Business review packs for AFGRE Dubai & support Doha Finance for AFGRE Doha. Ensure consistency in reports, doing trend analysis and commentary on those numbers
  • To ensure similar structure of business review reports exists for other asset categories like Residential, Commercial and Hospitality etc. To play an active role in standardizing and improving reporting structure for these asset categories as well




The FP&A Analyst AFGRE shall ensure that the following are embraced and upheld as the main guidelines for operation and reporting:


§   The AFGRE mission, vision and values

§   The accounting policies of Al Futtaim

§   The international accounting standards and the international financial reporting standards

§   The delegation of authority and key operating guidelines

§   The Dubai real estate laws and guidelines

§   Shareholder requirements and reporting

Best practise investment, funding and tax strategy

  • Cater to Adhoc requests on reporting from Leasing, Lease Admin or internal AFGRE teams




Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:


§   Accounting / Finance qualification (Semi-Qualified or Qualified Accounting Professional)


§   Knowledge of retail budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis  is necessary;


§   SAP, Yardi expertise will be an advantage


Minimum Experience:


§   2/3 years of experience out of which minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of FP&A, out of which a minimum of 2 years in the Real Estate industry in a similar role


§   Experience in Retail, Real Estate, Shopping Centres/ Construction  industries will be preferred


§   Knowledge and experience of IFRS, real estate operations, Dubai real estate laws and guidelines will be an advantage


§   Fluent Arabic and English (reading, writing reading)
