Overview Of The Role:

  • The Sr. Financial Analyst in EV Finance UAE is tasked with supporting the Senior Financial Controller in financial planning, control, and performance analysis across AFEV operations. The primary focus is on budgeting, forecasting, month-end closing, and profitability analysis, ensuring financial controls are maintained and financial insights communicated for strategic decisions. The role is crucial for delivering timely management reporting and financial insights that aid business decisions and sustainable growth.

What You Will Do:

Budgeting & Forecasting


  • Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts for sales, aftersales, and dealership operating expenses.
  • Track actual performance against budget/forecast and analyze variances with clear business explanations.
  • Support rolling forecasts, scenario analysis, and volume-margin sensitivity analysis.

Accounting, Controls & Compliance


  • Ensure accurate accounting and financial controls across dealership branches in line with group policies and IFRS.
  • Review branch-level financials to ensure proper revenue recognition, cost allocation, and inventory accounting.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing schedules, reconciliations, and explanations.

Month-End Closing


  • Coordinate and support month-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, and journal entries.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and management reports within agreed timelines.
  • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts related to vehicles, parts, receivables, and payables.

Performance Evaluation & Profitability Analysis


  • Analyze profitability by car model, variant, channel, and campaign, including margin bridge analysis.
  • Evaluate aftersales performance (service, parts, warranty, and accessories) at branch and model level.
  • Identify cost optimization and margin improvement opportunities across sales and aftersales operations.

Management Reporting & Business Partnering


  • Prepare monthly management reports and dashboards highlighting KPIs, trends, and risks.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Act as a finance business partner to dealership operations, sales, and aftersales teams.


Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to interpret financial data.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate financial concepts to non-financial personnel.
  • In-depth understanding of IFRS and company-specific financial policies.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Qualified Accountant or equivalent graduate qualification.
  • Minimum 4-5 years relevant experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills with commercial awareness and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of directing oneself and working collaboratively in teams.
