Overview Of The Role:

  • The Master Data Executive is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of master data across ERP systems, specifically for spare parts in the automotive aftermarket industry. This role is integral to supporting procurement, inventory management, supply chain, pricing, sales, finance, and warehousing functions by delivering high-quality, accurate product information. The position requires managing detailed records of part numbers, supplier information, pricing, cataloguing, and inventory parameters. Success in this role is measured by data accuracy, timely updates, and reduced operational errors due to data discrepancies.

What You Will Do:

Master Data Management


  • Create, update, validate, and maintain spare parts master records in ERP systems (SAP/S4HANA).
  • Ensure the accuracy of part numbers, descriptions, supplier codes, OEM references, cross-references, product hierarchy, UOM (Unit of Measure), HS Codes, country of origin, and warranty information.
  • Maintain catalog structure and product classifications.
  • Achieve master data accuracy >99% and zero critical data errors impacting operations.
  • Ensure timely completion of master data requests.

New Parts Creation & Product Onboarding


  • Coordinate with procurement and suppliers for new SKU creation.
  • Collect and validate supplier information and technical specifications.
  • Ensure complete documentation before system creation.
  • Support new product launches and range expansion initiatives.
  • Maintain excellent turnaround time for new SKU creation and high percentage of parts launched on schedule.

Supplier & Procurement Data Maintenance


  • Maintain vendor-part relationships.
  • Update supplier pricing, lead times, MOQs, pack quantities, and sourcing information.
  • Support procurement teams with data required for sourcing and ordering decisions.
  • Maintain approved supplier databases.
  • Ensure high supplier data accuracy and timely supplier updates to reduce procurement issues caused by incorrect data.

Pricing & Cost Data Management


  • Maintain standard costs, landed costs, transfer pricing, selling prices, and margin structures.
  • Support pricing reviews and system updates.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Product Management teams.
  • Ensure pricing update accuracy, margin protection, and timely completion of pricing updates.

Catalogue & Product Information Management


  • Maintain electronic spare parts catalogues.
  • Ensure product specifications and cross-references remain updated.
  • Support sales channels with accurate product information.
  • Achieve high catalogue accuracy, cross-reference completeness, and reduction in product identification errors.

Cross-Functional Coordination


  • Work closely with Procurement, Product Management, Material Management, Warehousing, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and IT.
  • Ensure seamless flow of master data across all business processes.
  • Maintain high stakeholder satisfaction, quick issue resolution time, and strong process compliance.


Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Proficiency in SAP (MM, SD, Master Data) and advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage data accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Spare Parts Procurement, Material Management, Automotive Aftermarket, Supply Chain Operations, or Master Data Management.
  • Experience with OES Parts, IAM Parts, and Automotive Product Databases.
  • SAP Master Data certification is an advantage.
